Samsung is gearing up to launch its highly anticipated foldable devices, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5, at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event. However, that’s not all they have in store for us. The tech giant is also set to unveil its latest smartwatch series, the Galaxy Watch 6. Thanks to leaked high-resolution press renders from German tech publication WinFuture, we now have a sneak peek at what to expect from these upcoming Samsung watches.

Introducing the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Series: A Sneak Peek at the Upcoming Smartwatches

Let’s start with the Galaxy Watch 6. From the leaked images, it’s evident that Samsung has opted for a smaller footprint, with slimmer bezels and pin buckle straps. The renders showcase two variants: a 40mm model in a stylish creme color option, and a 44mm model in an eye-catching sky blue hue.

One notable feature making a comeback in this lineup is the use of Saffire crystal for the back glass, which adds a touch of elegance. Both the 40mm and 44mm variants will come with GPS support, while the latter will also offer a model with LTE connectivity. Additionally, these smartwatches will boast water resistance up to 5ATM and are likely to feature Saffire glass protection for the display. The traditional buttons will be located on the right side of the watch’s chassis.

Moving on to the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic, the leaked renders reveal this variant in black and gray color options. It will be available in two sizes: 43mm and 47mm. Samsung is rumored to bring back the functional rotating crown, which has been a popular feature among smartwatch enthusiasts. The Classic model will also sport slimmer symmetrical bezels and is expected to offer Sapphire glass protection on both the front and back. Similar to the Galaxy Watch 6, it will support LTE and GPS connectivity and will be water resistant up to 5ATM. The Watch 6 Classic is anticipated to feature a stitched leather strap design, adding a touch of sophistication.

In addition to the design details deciphered from the leaked renders, the Galaxy Watch 6 series is set to offer a range of health and fitness-related features, along with noticeable improvements in battery life. Both the regular and classic variants will be powered by Samsung’s own Exynos W930 chipset, though there is a possibility of the latest Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 chipset being used as well. WearOS 4 is expected to be the operating system of choice for these smartwatches.

With the Galaxy Watch 6 series, Samsung aims to deliver a stylish and functional wearable experience. The leaked press renders have given us a glimpse of the design choices, including slimmer bezels, refined straps, and the return of beloved features such as the rotating crown. As we eagerly await the Galaxy Unpacked event, it’s clear that Samsung has put considerable effort into making these smartwatches a compelling choice for tech enthusiasts and fitness enthusiasts alike.
